Paul de Bruin, Psychotherapist

Dipl. Psych. MBACP, MNCPS (Acc.)

About Me

Hello, my name is Paul, and I’m a fully qualified and accredited psychotherapist who helps clients navigate personal and professional challenges. I offer a confidential space where you can explore challenging material, gain insight and improve the quality of your life.

How Can I Help

When our lives, relationships or jobs don’t go as we want, it can be frustrating and upsetting. This may lead to stress, feeling down, depression, or burnout. Speaking with a therapist can help us understand our thinking patterns and find a way forward.

I have experience supporting clients with a wide range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Stress and burnout

  • Addiction and trauma

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Career transitions and work-related challenges

In addition to my private practice, I’ve worked in various settings, including the NHS Mental Health Service, Maytree Suicide Respite Centre, and several other charitable organisations. My training was at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE).

Before training as a therapist, I worked for 20+ years in finance – on trading floors in The City and New York – and business development, which helps me understand the demands of high-performance corporate environments. I also lived in several different countries, which brings a rich and unique personal perspective to my practice.

My Approach

Being an integrative psychotherapist allows me to use various therapeutic methods to tailor the process to your specific situation. We can explore how past experiences shape your current behaviours and relationships while also address present challenges to help you align with meaning and purpose.

I believe you have the right answers within you—therapy helps to uncover your answers. No matter how stuck you feel, together we can help you gain a fresh perspective, foster personal growth and find a way forward.

If you’re ready to explore how therapy can help you, please don’t hesitate to contact me for a free initial consultation.

I’m an accredited member of The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and a Registered Member of the BACP. I adhere to their code of ethics. I’m committed to complete confidentiality, ethical practice and utmost discretion.
